In partnership with the American Dietetic Association, the International Food Information Council Foundation has developed an ADA-approved CPE online program “All About Caffeine” (session number 067617). This course includes information on caffeine and heart health, hydration, addiction, pregnancy and miscarriage.
If you are Registered Dietitian or a Dietetic Technician, Registered, simply follow the instructions below to earn one CPE credit hour following your successful completion of the CPE Questions.
Program Objectives:
After reviewing All About Caffeine, health professionals will be able to:
- List the major sources of caffeine in the diet.
- Be able to state how much caffeine is consumed by the average adult.
- Explain the major ways that caffeine affects the body.
- State facts about caffeine and reproduction, hydration status, addiction, and health issues such as fibrocystic breast disease, osteoporosis, and heart disease.
- Compare the amounts of caffeine contained in common beverages and foods such as coffee, tea, soft drinks, and chocolate.
