2007 IFIC Foundation Food and Health Survey: Consumer Attitudes toward Food, Nutrition & Health CPE Program

The International Food Information Council (IFIC) Foundation has developed a Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)-approved continuing professional education (CPE) online program, 2007 IFIC Foundation Food and Health Survey: Consumer Attitudes toward Food, Nutrition & Health.”

If you are a registered dietitian or a dietetic technician, registered, simply follow the instructions to earn one CPE credit hour following your successful completion of the CPE questions.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the CPE program, the learner should:

1. Understand consumers’ current knowledge, attitudes, and/or behaviors on:

  1. Diet
  2. Health
  3. Weight
  4. Physical Activity
  5. Dietary fats, carbohydrates and sugars, caffeine, functional foods
  6. Food allergies
  7. Nutrition information sources

2. Name at least three “diet disconnects” illustrating gaps in consumer knowledge and implementation of diet and health-related behaviors.

3. Compare and contrast changes in consumer perceptions regarding key health issues from 2006 to 2007.

4. Identify opportunities for applying consumer research to improve dietary guidance communications to enhance public health.

Step 5. Complete the online evaluation form for this CPE program by following this link. At the end of the evaluation, you will be redirected to the IFIC Foundation home page. Return to this CPE page.

Step 6. Download the Certificate of Completion (PDF) and put it in your files to verify completion of the CPE program and to receive one CPE credit hour.
