Annual Survey Takes Consumers’ Pulse on Dietary Habits

Food Insight Highlights New IFIC Foundation Consumer Research

(Washington, DC., September 12, 2008) — Highlights from the July/August issue of Food Insight:

  • In the cover story of the July/August issue of Food Insight, new International Food Information Council Foundation research reveals a seventh “diet disconnect” among consumers and revisits the six others identified in 2007. The findings come from the third annual IFIC Foundation Food and Health Survey: Consumer Attitudes toward Food, Nutrition, and Health.

  • High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and fructose are often portrayed negatively, when in reality many don’t have all the facts. The current issue of Food Insight looks at the pertinent information everyone should know about sugars.

  • Learn about a new and entertaining web resource that is bringing food and health information to the public.
