Americans’ Six “Diet Disconnects”
Food Insight Reviews New IFIC Foundation Consumer Research

 

Highlights from the current issue of Food Insight:

  • In the cover story of the May/June issue of Food Insight, new International Food Information Council Foundation attitudinal research identifies six “diet disconnects” in the American diet. These disconnects were identified from the second annual Food and Health Survey: Consumer Attitudes toward Food, Nutrition, and Health, commissioned by the International Food Information Council Foundation.

  • Obstacles often get in the way of consumers pursuing a healthful diet. Food Insight identifies some of these “stumbling blocks” and offers solutions.

  • Global food safety issues are in the headlines and under scrutiny. Specifically, melamine contamination is a topic of concern. What is melamine and how did it find its way into the U.S. and animal feed? Food Insight has the details.
