In 1996, the Dietary Guidelines Alliance launched the "It's All About You" campaign. What is this campaign, and why should it interest you as a health and nutrition professional?

  • It is a useable, consumer-tested message campaign that translates some of the recommendations of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans into simple, positive ways consumers can integrate these basic health principles into their lives.
  • It consists of five core messages designed to motivate consumers into rethinking and positively changing their eating and activity routines.
  • Simple, action-orientated tips, which accompany the messages, provide easy and manageable ways for consumers to change their behaviors.
